Haagen Dazs

Archiblox was appointed to design, construct and deliver the innovative pop-up ice cream experience space, called House of Häagen-Dazs® which opened to the public in Federation Square Melbourne and The Rocks Sydney in 2016. Archiblox continues to buck the trend of the perception, look and feel of prefabricated transportable houses. Our collaboration further exemplifies the niche market of our highly detailed, architectural designed prefabricated buildings.

Featuring leafy vegetation, hanging plants, plywood custom seating booths and Weathertex external cladding, the modular design aligns with ArchiBlox’s core value of sustainability.

The local experience is telling a ‘Melbourne’ story: the interiors are sleek and unpretentious using carbon neutral and sustainable products, with the only Haagen-Dazs branded pink splashed on the space’s three booths.

The process itself was also uniquely Melbourne: “That's one of the beauties of doing business in Melbourne; the celebration of collaboration. As a whole, the team, the clients, the marketing agent and us worked really well together and delivered the outlet within 10 weeks from engagement". Says Founder Bill McCorkell
